Hands On: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

Early on during the PR spiel for Guardian of Light, some of the games listed as sources of inspiration leave me a bit thrown.

Diablo? Gauntlet? Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance?

These seem like odd ingredients to toss into the Tomb Raider cooking pot, but then again this isn’t Tomb Raider. It’s a whole new direction for the aristocratic archaeologist, and one which the team is relishing. And soon after the pad is put into my hands, the comparisons start to make sense.

Article: Alt Mod Scene

Modding things differently.

The past couple of years have seen a decline in the number of mods finding their way to completion. Partly this is because of the demanding nature of host games, such as the graphically complex Crysis or Unreal Tournament III, and partly it’s because of the indie gaming boom.

Folks who might otherwise have worked on mods are making their own lo-fi games, or grabbing free engines like Unity or UDK to do what modding always previously provided, which was the opportunity to make something from scratch with the leg-up of engine tech.

Hit or myth?

As soon as I heard that they were remaking Clash of the Titans, I knew there’d be a videogame. Obviously. So I booked a flight to South America, chartered a boat up the Amazon and tracked down the Tagaeri, a remote tribe that has had virtually no contact with the modern world. What is the normal CPU fan speed?

Guarantee within 30 degrees temperature rise is generally stable. In other words, cpu temperature-resistant collection of 65 degrees to 35 degrees by the highest summer terms, it allows cpu temperature is 30 degrees. Infer that if your temperature is now 20 degrees, cpu better not to exceed 50 degrees. Temperature is of course the lower the better.
